Waymaker

An ancient Polynesian legend tells the story of Hau Maka, who was charged by his king to find a place away from crippling warfare for the people to settle.

In a dream, he flew across the waters and “saw” that safe haven. He convinced his king to embark and let him, Hau Maka, be the guide.

Although he had never been to Rapa Nui or Easter Island, he knew he could lead the way, even without modern day navigation tools, for he had envisioned the destination. He employed all the elements around him to reach that destination, such as the wind, the sky, the birds, and the direction of the waves.

Hau Maka was a navigator and a waymaker. And, like Hau Maka, you are the waymaker to your destination—true wealth.

You, too, need to “see” your destination and use all your talents, passions, values, experience, expertise, networks, and money to find your way.

Holism uses the same philosophy—it wants you to invest not only your money but all elements of your being to reach your life goals.
